After an initial meeting with an instructor, this process is tailored to match the needs of each individual student.
BASIC REPRESENTATION OF THE FIRST 4 LESSONS:
1.) FIRST LESSON
The instructor will teach you:
- The basics of a car (including maintenance specifics and safety devices)
- The proper sitting position and mirror adjustment according to your position
- Information about the different gears
- Confident steering (how to hold the wheel)
- Smooth braking, skillful maneuvering and the continual adjustment of the accelerator
- Emergency procedures (responding to emergency vehicles)
2.) SECOND LESSON
The instructor will teach you:
- Driving on small streets
- Setting the car in motion properly
- Street parking smoothly, including uphill and downhill parking
- Braking gradually to reduce strain on vehicle
- Effective use of indicator signals
- Recovery of the steering wheel
3.) THIRD LESSON
The instructor will teach you:
- Driving on main roads
- Maintaining speed
- Smooth lane changing
- Checking blind spot and mirror effectively
- How to approach controlled/uncontrolled stop signs and traffic light intersections
- Overview of the legal driving laws and conditions
4.) FOURTH LESSON
The instructor will teach you:
- Driving on main roads
- How to be confident while driving
- Information about driving at night, or in bad weather conditions
- How to cross railway crossings, driving in school zones
- How to maneuver through one way streets (entry and exit methods)
- How to deal with sharp turns and curves you may encounter while driving
- 3 point turn, parallel parking, reverse parking and forward parking
This is a basic representation of the first 4 lessons. According to your needs, you can choose to get more lessons. For example, beginner students will require at least 6 or more lessons whereas an experienced G2 driver going for his/her G test, might require only refresher lessons.
